After some 6 years or so tweaking around with bbLean, I finally decided to share the style I'm using the way it is right now.

Inspired on some old GUIs from the early 90s, like VMS, Solaris' OpenWindows 3 and so on.

The .rar file includes:

- Style file

- Theme file for Windows (optional)

- Font (ProFont)

Beautiful and clean! But this can't be BBLean, right? I mean BBLean had no outline text option, so the embossed letters effect wasn't possible back then. As for the windows, is this Visual Style or 3dcc? Good work, anyway!

Thanks pitkon.

I made this style on the original bbLean, but then I started using XZero450's build for better plugin compatibility. The embossed letters effect wasn't intentional and honestly I wish I could disable it but I can't find where. :P

For the Windows, it's just a regular Win 7 theme I made so I could match the windows' colors to the Blackbox style, kind of.

Just opened your style file and realized there is no outlinecolor mentioned anywhere so, yes, this isn't modern syntax.

It's very strange - about the embossed letters, I mean. Have you tried unticking Shadows in Configuration/Menu?

In Configuration/Menu there's only the drop shadow option that enables/disables the shadows behind the menus.

Enabling or disabling "Outline text" on Configuration/Graphics makes no difference at all. So does "Global shadows".

Oh well, I don't really mind the embossed text actually. It just doesn't look as good for me.

Nice minimal style!

As far as the embossed text...

I don't know what "outlined text" is supposed to do. I have played with it a bit in my styles and could never see what effect it does.

The : Blackbox > Configuration > Menus > Drop Shadows feature puts a drop shadow on the entire menu - not on the text within it.

The drop shadow (and embossed) text effect is achived within the sytax of the style file and if not found by the BB shell will be set to a reasonable default. The setting for this is defined in your style file, you just have to know what to look for...

In your style file, it is listed under the lost & found header:

!-- lost & found --
tooblar.fontWeight: normal
toolbar.shadowColor: #404244
toolbar.shadowX: 1
toolbar.shadowY: 1
toolbar.windowLabel.foregroundcolor: #000000
toolbar.windowLabel.marginWidth: 2
toolbar.windowLabel.shadowColor: #505050
toolbar.windowLabel.shadowX: 1
toolbar.windowLabel.shadowY: 1
toolbar.clock.shadowColor: #90bcbf
toolbar.clock.shadowX: 1
toolbar.clock.shadowY: 1
menu.title.shadowColor: #606060
menu.title.shadowX: 1
menu.title.shadowY: 1
menu.frame.shadowColor: #d0d0d0
menu.frame.shadowX: 1
menu.frame.shadowY: 1
menu.active.shadowColor: #808080
menu.active.shadowX: 1
menu.active.shadowY: 1
menu.separator.borderColor: #d1cfc8
menu.separator.shadowColor: #000000
menu.separator.borderWidth: 1
menu.separator.shadowX: 1
menu.separator.shadowY: 1
menu.separator.margin: 0
menu.separator.color1: #d1cfc8
menu.separator.backgroundColor: #d1cfc8
window.label.focus.shadowColor: #606060
window.label.focus.shadowX: 1
window.label.focus.shadowY: 1
window.label.unfocus.shadowColor: #202020
window.label.unfocus.shadowX: 1
window.label.unfocus.shadowY: 1

Change all those *.shadowX: 1 and *.shadowY: 1 to 0 (zero) and drop shadows will be disabled... mostly but not entirely

Clever, Clark!

As for outline text, are you sure you are using the right syntax? It's supposed to be something like this

toolbar.outlinecolor:                black (or whatever)

It's been a while since I tried it and I was still using XP 32-bit, I haven't looked at it again since switching to Win 7 64-bit. Here is what I tried.

This is with bbZero 1.18rc3.5.

This is weird, the syntax is correct. I am sure you tried another outline color which is more easy to see, like red, right? Do me a favor and try it with XZero450's build.

Well, I just tried it again (bbZero 1.18rc3.5) and it does indeed work - at least on Win 7 64-bit. But believe me, I could not get it to do anything on XP.

Hmm, something new to play with...

That's strange, because it works on MY XP :)
