Hello all, I seem to be having an issue with bsetroot when i try and set an image with a solid background color.

I have one style where it doesn't seem to be an issue but then on another it wont display the correct background color.

this works:

rootCommand: bsetroot -solid rgb:11/11/11 -center "backgroundsmatnmay.jpg"

wile this wont:

rootCommand: bsetroot -solid #a7c6c8 -center "backgroundsMiku flowers.jpg"

I have no real clue as to why this is the case so I was looking for a little

May seem strange, but try to put the wall path first and the -solid command after that. Also, try bsetbg instead of bsetroot.

It can also be a minor thing like a space in the name of the file...

Try : Mikuflowers.jpg OR Miku_flowers.jpg

He is using quotes, Paz, so there's no issue there :)

Just gave this a shot and no change

and just for the sake of argument i gave this a chance too

adding the two styles i referenced in the OP if you want to tinker and see if its something else.

OK, that was easy.

There are two rootCommands in GSM-Symbiote-Hatsune Mikku. The first one is empty and BB reads the first one, which loads no wall.

Delete the first entry and you're there.

i removed it and it loads the wall, but not the background color i try to set, but if i remove the wall its the correct color. Is there a new version of bsetroot/bsetbg? mine is v2.1

The background color loads just fine here. Try to move -scale to the end of the line.

Just tried it, you have to disable the "Smart Wallpaper" property under Blackbox>Configuration>Graphics.

On a side note this Miku artwork is really cute! ^_^

Disabling Smart Wallpaper worked for me, maybe you can upload your whole blackbox setup so we can look at it.

What bb version are you using?

Mat, it works for me with Smart Wallpaper enabled. BBLean is REALLY old. Try mojmir's build instead.

just downloaded and set up mojmir's build but still have the same result with both smart wallpaper on and off.  I'm at a loss of what could be wrong here...

Did you use BBZero's configuration files or did you migrate your old ones?

This is getting weird... This is what I used in the style file to implement the wall AND the background:

rootCommand: bsetbg -center "backgroundsMiku flowers.jpg" -solid #a7c6c8 -scale 100%

Do you have the same syntax? If yes, then maybe I should upload my bsetroot/bsetbg files here for you.

I have the same syntax, and to be sure i copy pasted from here to the style. and the most recent version of BBZero should of Had the most recent bbsetroot/bbsetbg files, so if you do upload yours and then it still doesn't work then it may either be my laptop or fate saying i am not worthy of a miku wall.

Most recent doesn't necessarily mean good for YOUR system configuration, so here are my files. If fate didn't want you to have a miku wall then you wouldn't be able to upload it at all. Maybe fate is saying you are not worthy of a different background to a miku wall :)

hahaha!

As an additional test, as I come back home, I can upload a minimal working bbzero setup to see if there's some configuration at fault or the issue is in your system. What version of windows do you have (and is it x32 or x64)?
