Hi,

I tried this BBZero build on my system Windows 10 Home x64 and I am disappointed. Don't know what the dev is doing wrong but every time I log into BBZero the BBLeanbar has like 3 Host background Processes from Cortana.(perhaps didn't quite named them right). I open the Task Manager and there they are, running , Cortana, some Hosts.  Nothing of sorts happens when running bblean 1.17.1 x64. Everything is smooth and it needs no runtime redistributables. And is portable. For me is the supreme shell replacement. It (still) just works. This build does not do beep right when the shell is not replaced. Sorry guys...

I didn't exactly understand what your issue is. Cortana and other hosts are supposed to be running at startup, unless you take them off. And every BB build was intended for shell replacement use. Which means you have to install it as shell, not run it on top of Windows.

Although they are hidden when using standard windows task bar, they will pop up on the Blackboxbar if you start it up without setting as shell.  No real way around it as blackbox is seeing them as normal applications.  BBLean does the same thing for me.  BBzero has overall functioned better for me though between iterations of windows, but different problems for different folk.  Use what works and enjoy it~

I would just run it as shell unless Edge and other windows 8/10 apps are part of your standard workflow.  If its only edge and you enjoy its speed i'd recommend Cent as a near equally speedy alternative.
