Hello, I would like to use Blackbox as shell ( I am currently using bbzero as shell on Windows 8.1 ) and would like to have a few

48x48 icons showing on my blackbox desktop the same way one can show icons on the desktop in Windows.

As the shell is Blackbox, Windows desktop icons are disabled - I tried to run Avedesk for this purpuse but it does not run well

on Blackbox ( the Avedesk icons dissapear or are messed up ) -

Do I have to use a program like Avedesk or any widgets program to have icons on the desktop, or is there is any plugin or configuration

I can use from inside Blackbox for this purpose ? I will be grateful for any help.

There is bbicons for that. You can find it in our Downloads/Plugins section.

Thanks for your quote, but I cannot find "bbicons" plugin in the Download section - I am using bbzero 1.18.0-rc6 mojmir version, and I only

find there is a plugin called "bbiconBox" inside the folder "plugins" of my installed bbzero in C:\bbZero\plugins - I don´t know if this is related

or not with bbicons - Can you please give me a link to download "bbicons" plugin and let me know how to use it to creat desktop icons ?

You are absolutely right, seems we totally forgot to add bbicons to the plugins section. I just uploaded it there. As for how to use it, you can check the html file included in the zip file, it's very helpful. The rc file, also included, will also give you an idea, although you may replace paths and icons with your own, of course.

Thanks, I found the plugin, although it appears to have no link, but with the author´s name I found it searching in the web - Yes, as you mention the zip contains an html file that explains how to use it, I will try.

The lack of permanently showing the icon text w/o tooltips hover over is probably the biggest Achilles heel of bbIconBox right now for me at least as far as emulating windows desktop still a nice plugin however.

Again, you can use bbinterface for whatever you need :)
