Hello,

I normally use Linux and a window manager called i3 (https://i3wm.org/), which automatically sizes windows such that the desktop is always completely covered.

Is there a program that does this on Windows? I think I could either write my own program or modify Blackbox myself, but would prefer not to.

That indeed looks like a very useful program to me. I hope there's something like that for windows, too. There's a program called "DExposE2" that might actually be able to do what you want. But i'm not sure, didn't use it for several years. Couldn't find a proper homepage for it, maybe it's been abandonded.

And then there's Dexpot (http://dexpot.de/). It's also been a long time since I last used it but maybe it has the wanted feature.

bug.n does tiling pretty well, it's a bit annoying to setup but when that's done it works pretty smooth.
