I thought I would try a shiny style :) It should work in all builds, but only has the shiny look in Mojmir's build (and most likely in XZero450's build). I have included the wallpaper in the zip.

enjoy

YESSS! You are officially the second person to try modern styling and this is simply awesome. Great job, really great job! Hope more is coming in the same vein :D

Thanks! :)  It's been a long time since I created a style in a text editor. But, I enjoyed it.

Edit: I had to upload the zip again (I changed the filename of the wallpaper and forgot to update it in the style). All good now :)

Oh, I forgot to mention that the screenshot above is using bbLeanbar+. The standard bbLeanbar doesn't seem to show the right colors. I'm not sure why that is.

Figures, sometimes I get the same weird results with bbleanbar that comes with mojmir's build. But forgot to ask what bbleanskin you are using. The one that comes with mojmir's build seems to act weird as well...

Yes, I have the one that comes with Mojmir's build. It does act weird with the modern styles. The title bar changes to red on mouseover and to several other colors when I resize the window vertically. But I haven't actually been using bbLeanskin on any builds (unless I'm working on a style :) ), because it also acts a bit strange with explorer and Firefox (on Win 8.1, 64 bit).

Thanks for clarifying things, I thought something was wrong with MY copy... lol. Not using bbleanskin? You are missing out, my friend :)

I know... I like bbLeanskin. I have added explorer and Firefox to the exclusions.rc, but  it doesn't seem to have any effect. They still get skinned.

You ARE using 64-bit bbleanskin, right?

I am using the one that installs with mojmir's 64 bit build. I imagine it's the 64 bit version, but I wouldn't know how to tell.

What you described is the standard way a 32-bit bbleanskin behaves in a 64-bit environment. I don't have a 64-bit system (yet) so I can't test it. I guess we'll have to wait for mojmir's input when he gets back from his vacations...

For firefox, there's a few classes that need to be added to exclusions as well.

firefox.exexul.dll:MozillaHiddenWindowClassxul.dll:MozillaWindowClass

Explorer probably has extra classes too.

My Firefox only needed to be included in the exclusions list. Same goes for Explorer. On the other hand, there are newer builds and you may have a point there...

I haven't excluded Firefox in a looooong time. So you're probably right.

That worked! Thanks, cthu1hu :)  If you have any ideas for explorer window classes I could try in the exclusions.rc, I'm listening... I don't know what version of Firefox you are running, Pete, but I'm using version 30. FF has had a different title bar since version 28, or 29 (I forget). It's actually more like no title bar. So, that may be a factor. bbLeanskin was adding a title bar to it which was covering the menu items. But those window class exclusions worked.

I thought you might like to see a screenshot of Explorer with bbLeanskin. As you can see the titlebar is almost transparent. It's not really a problem on a dark background... but with something like notepad behind it.... not so good   But it's not just the title bar. There are other problems too - like those vertical lines on the top right. That's the Leanskin window border being left behind, after resizing the window.

You are not using Aero, right? As for Firefox, that's why I said there are newer builds. I stopped using Firefox a long time ago for various reasons. I find Opera more to my liking :) Faster and simpler.
