Hey guys! I realy love BbZero so far, but I'm having one MAJOR issue. The WIN key won't show Menu. This simple feature is key for me, I really need it! How can I fix this? I'm running bbzero (64-bit) on Win7.

Thank you!

Have you loaded bbKeys?

is this defined in bbKeys.rc?

KeyToGrab(LWIN),        WithModifier(),         WithAction(ShowMenu)
KeyToGrab(RWIN),        WithModifier(),         WithAction(ShowMenu)

Hi tordenflesk,

your changes didn't work for me. I'm on bbZero 1.18 rc6 on Win10x64. Do you know another way to achieve the desired function? Disabling it in the rc-file didn't work for me either. It's not absolutely necessary for me but a nice to have.

Thanks in advance.

tordenflesk's suggestion is solid and it should work - it works for any of us. Are you sure you have loaded bbkeys?

Hi pitkon,

Yes, bbKeys was and is loaded. But I think I see the problem: I thought it was about the Windows start menu which normally appears after pressing the Windows key. But this thread is about the Blackbox menu. Sorry for confusing you.

Does still somebody know if it possible to not load the whole desktop/Windows shell but be able to access the Windows start menu by pressing a certain key or key combination?

Thanks in advance.

No, that's not how this works. What exactly is it you think you're missing?

Hi tordenflesk,

sry for my late reply.

In the last days I managed to get all functionality working I wanted. So there's no need for me anymore to access the windows start menu.

Thanks though :)

For SystemBarEx configuration file on bbZero what fixed it for me was changing how it was set to the following I actually had the same issue with windows key not working on SystemBarEx for bbZero.

BB.Button.R.Command: ShowRootMenu
BB.Button.L.Command: ShowRootMenu
BB.Button.M.Command: ShowRootMenu

The problem is when you're not running Blackbox as shell.  When its running as shell BBkeys functions fine, but running over explorer.exe  windows takes precedence over the windows key. (On Windows 10 at least, on all versions of windows prior function works fine as well)

Editing the registry to block that just disables it.

I've been messing around with it every so often, just in case I ever wanted to lay BB4win on top of explorer for full functionality.

A work around, http://www.majorgeek...s/keytweak.html

Set your LWIN to something like Insert or End. Something you don't use.  And then update BBkeys respectively.
