I have been helping a homeless animal shelter here in Ohio by saving Purina weight labels.
They in turn get grants from Purina to help with VET bills.
I E-Mailed them and told them that I have a LOT of friends, ......... A LOT!! ..........THIS WAS HER REPLY:
Thank you so much for your kind letter; I would appreciate your help. I care for about 50 animals each day. The animals I rescue are ones from shelters who are unadoptable. The shelters know I will take them. Because of their age and conditions the vet bills are becoming a bit much. The weight circles from the dry purina dog/cat food bags can be redeemed for rebate checks for food or even for the vet. Checks for the vet do require a LOT of weight circles but it is a blessing whenever I can collect them. So please I would dearly appreciate your help and the help of your friends; anything for the animals. I was recently brought a very sick kitten on memorial day weekend; he had a rough start but is such a little love now - always purring. There are many times I wish I were able to do more for my guys but they are warm , safe, fed, and loved. Thank you for any help. Mary
