[bbzero]Unable to open SDL-based Applications unless ran as administrator

Issue Help

Best Answer YoshiLightStar , 17 March 2021 - 10:35 PM

Alright I figured it out I just found out about the bbleanskin log mode and it seems that it tries hooking :SDL_app on SDL applications which causes them to fail instead of properly hooking the window as it should. To fix this add *:SDL_app to your exclusions.rc file and it should fix SDL applications. I wont be able to make my SDL apps match the rest of my windows but this is way better then it was before.

As the title describes I can only run SDL based apps in administrator which is an issue with games such as World of Goo, SRB2 and any other application that use SDL. These applications start without admin if I use explorer.exe as my shell instead. Is there a fix for this issue or a reason why this could be happening? I use bbleanskin also if that helps
