Is it a known bug that master volume control only controls a subset of the mixer called bbLean Core?
(Windows 7 + bblean)
Here's what mine is doing, which is obviously pretty useless.

A bbi slider can control Master Volume and other aspects of the input/output set. I don't get what your problem is here

My problem is that it doesn't. No matter what I set it to, it only controls that bblean core volume.

You mean it doesn't boost/lower sound in your system?

exactly. if he is controlling bb core sounds, he is controlling output only from that one program. that does not affect all other sounds like master does.

I am using bbi sliders for over 10 years now. They ARE affecting ALL other sounds, not only BBcore ones They work hand in hand with Volume in Windows - both XP and 7.

then there must be a bug somewhere

I wish that was happening for me, but it's not.

That's really strange. Which bbi build are you using?

It's silly to ask, perhaps, but your sliders do detect your sound card(s), right?

Yes, my sound cards show up fine, and I'm using the itunes_mod.

Really weird... Have you tried bbi on another puter?
Posted 26 July 2014 - 08:51 PM
No, I only have one.

Try it on some friend's puter. Chances are there is something wrong with your sound card.

i tried that on my win7 and it behaves the same (i.e. controlling only bbcore)
this seems to be relevant:
http://stackoverflow...using-mixer-api
ok, the api has changed and the code has to be adapted for vista+. will try it in some spare time.. it should be pretty straightforward.

this should fix the bbinterface mixer for vista (and the iconbox bug) i need two volunteers for testing: one for win XP (to confirm i did not break anything) and one for the new vista mixer
// sorry i am unable to attach the file.. maybe later

I guess I can test the XP thingie, though XP has no issues with bbi sliders...

the binary i sent you comes here, Pete
though XP has no issues with bbi sliders...
just to ensure i did not break it on xp. i moved the code around a bit.. anything can happen
