There are people who can’t always have the desktop available because they run maximized applications and would like a menu button on their bbleanbar. Of course, the easiest way to bring up the Blackbox menu is by loading bbkeys and using a keyboard combination, but there are others who want a bbleanbar with a menu button anyway.
Well, BBLeanBar doesn’t allow for a menu button (although SystemBarEx does) so we will have to use a bbinterface solution.
1) Load BBInterface.
2) Ctrl+Right click on any bbinterface element and go Interface Operations/Create New Control/Frame.
3) If you don’t want to have your bbleanbar on top of all applications, then go Window Options and uncheck Always On Top. But if you do (in case you are running maximized programs) leave it as it is.
4) Alt+Left Click on the frame to make it a bit longer than bbleanbar and a bit taller (hold left mouse down and drag). Make sure it’s long enough to accommodate a small button.
5) Ctrl+Right Click on the frame to go Control Options/Plugins/Load Plugin. Go to your HD to find bbleanbar.dll and load it. BBleanBar is now within the frame. Move it to the left or to the right edge, depending on whether you want the Menu Button to the left or to the right.
NOTE: If bbleanbar is not automatically loaded in the frame, Ctrl+Right click on bbleanbar to pop up its menu and then go Configuration and check Use Slit. (Thanks for reminding me, Liquid).
6) Ctrl+Right Click on the frame and go Interface Operations/Create New Child Control/Button. Use Ctrl+Left Click to move it around or Alt+Left Click to bring the button to desired size (in both occasions, hold left mouse down and drag).
7) Ctril+Right Click on the button and go Control Options/Mouse Down/System Shell/Blackbox Menu. Save. That’s it.
Remember you can place any icon on the button to make it prettier (Control Option/Image) or use any element style on the button and the frame to make them more interesting and/or create a contrast to bbleanbar (Window Options/Style).
